Privacy notice
Last updated 1 October 2026
We are building a product about consent, so we hold ourselves to the standard we want our customers to meet. This notice explains what personal information we hold, where it came from, why we use it and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Consentara is an early-stage business based in the United Kingdom, and is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: info@consentara.com.
If we contacted you about Consentara
We research people in roles where consent is part of the job, mainly technology and product leaders at UK health technology companies, and contact a small number of them to ask how they handle consent today.
| What we hold | Your name, job title, employer, the public profile or page where we found you, a business email address if you have published one, and notes of any conversation we have. |
|---|---|
| Where it came from | Public sources: your employer’s website, your public LinkedIn profile, and published lists such as accelerator cohorts, innovation programmes and funding awards. We never guess or generate email addresses. |
| Why we use it | To ask whether you would be willing to share your experience, and, if you are interested, to talk about Consentara. |
| Lawful basis | Legitimate interests: understanding whether our product solves a real problem for businesses like yours. We contact a limited number of people, in their professional capacity, about something relevant to their role. |
| How long we keep it | Twelve months from our last contact, then we delete it. If you ask us to stop, we delete your details straight away, keeping only your name and the fact you objected so we do not contact you again. |
You can object at any time, and we will stop. Just reply “no thanks” or email info@consentara.com.
If you email us or join a call
We use what you send us, and our notes of any call, to reply and to follow up on what we discussed. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We keep correspondence for up to twelve months after our last contact unless it becomes part of a contract.
This website
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security, and our security and caching software may set strictly necessary cookies. We have no visitor forms; if you email us, the section above applies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your information with anyone for their own purposes. We use a small number of service providers to run the business, acting on our instructions:
- Website hosting (GreenGeeks).
- Email (Apple iCloud Mail).
- AI tools (Anthropic’s Claude), which help us research public information and organise our notes. We do not use your information to train AI models.
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where that happens we rely on the UK’s adequacy regulations for the UK–US data bridge or on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. We will respond within one month. Email info@consentara.com.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
We will update this notice as Consentara grows, for example when we form a limited company or launch the product. The date at the top shows the latest version.
